Close up of the Governor gears running nice and smoothly ! Notice though the 'failed' 'end float' collar on the drive shaft (away from the assembly). Because the drive wheel was out of line with the crankshaft the belt was putting an extra strain on the governor shaft, I didn't notice it was this bad until I had finished filming ! If your going to 'run' yours take NOTE ...

Governor close up showing the Centrifugal weights moving out as the speed rises causing the governor to move up it's shaft and the 'follower arm' to pull down the 'throttle' linkage to theoretically slow down the engine and keep it at a constant speed. At this point though the governor was sadly getting rather jerky in operation because of the failing drive shaft 'bushes'

Another rear view, but this time showing the other side.

Ok , so not bad, but it would have worked much better except for the out of line Governor drive wheel that caused excessive 'play' in the Internal 'bearing' and then the un sticking of the outer collar, even though I had even made it larger (making it look out of place). The end result of this (apart from the obvious 'blow up' if I had continued !) was that the drive belt would go 'loose' then tight again as it rotated causing the governor to start and stop or just run jerky. At least I got what I wanted some video footage (If unfortunately rather poor) of it actually all working, now I can seal her up in a nice safe display box never to turn another wheel again !
